How are the animals raised for this product?
AI Paleo Protein contains beef protein from animals raised in Sweden without hormones or antibiotics, and is free of any GMO grains, grasses, and/or ensilage.

What part of the cow is used to make AI Paleo Protein?
The hydrolyzed protein in AI Paleo Protein is made from the carcass of the animal after all the marketable cuts have been removed (thus being 70% collagen/30% meat). This meat is cooked under pressure, along with muscle tissue, other soft tissues, and bones.

What is the importance of protein?
Protein is an essential macronutrient and helps us to build up our body, to ensure that all vital processes are taking place. Protein is an important source of amino acids such as glutamine and L-tyrosine, which repair gut cells and create thyroid hormones, respectively. Adequate protein intake also helps to keep blood sugar in balance, so combining carbohydrates with protein can slow down the glycemic impact of the carbohydrates you consume. This can help you avoid the blood sugar highs and lows that can fuel dysfunction within the body.

Should I take Betaine with Pepsin when I consume AI Paleo Protein?
You may not need to take Betaine with Pepsin or any other digestive enzymes when consuming the AI Paleo Protein. The active ingredient, HydroBEEF™, is a highly concentrated pure beef protein, which is produced through an exclusive proprietary process that allows the protein to be hydrolyzed into more peptides, resulting in easier absorption and assimilation. However, those who experience digestive symptoms may find Betaine with Pepsin support helpful, at a lower dose than taken with other protein-containing meals.*

Not to be used by those who have been advised to follow a low protein diet, such as people with phenylketonuria, homocystinuria, or advanced kidney disease. Do not use if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients in this supplement.
